Meet Zak
Working for Warwick
Zak Pereira was born and raised in a working-class Rhode Island family that taught him the value of being present with family and working hard. Watching his mother struggle to navigate the healthcare system showed him how difficult it has become for people to access the services they should be able to count on. The same belief in access guides his work at the University of Rhode Island where he helps military veterans earn college credit for the skills and experience gained serving our country. Zak is running to represent House District 22 to keep Warwick safe, make life more affordable, and ensure every family has access to the opportunities and services they should be able to count on.

"Having had the honor of representing House District 22, I know firsthand how much this community means to the people who call it home. Warwick deserves a representative who truly listens, cares, and puts the needs of our families and seniors first.
Zak Pereira understands the challenges our neighbors are facing—from rising costs and access to quality healthcare, to making sure our seniors can live with dignity and security. He also recognizes the importance of supporting our public schools, veterans, and first responders.
Zak is someone I trust to listen to the people of HD 22 and work hard to make a difference. He has the experience, compassion, and determination to be a strong and effective voice for our community at the State House. I’m proud to endorse him, and I hope you’ll join me in supporting Zak Pereira."

"Zak understands that strong public schools create strong communities. He will fight to secure more state funding so that every student in Warwick has the opportunity to succeed and receive a first-class education without burdening local taxpayers."

Key Issues
Affordability
No one should be forced out of our community because they cannot find affordable housing, timely medical care or keep up with rising costs. Working families and retirees should be able to afford to buy a home, pay their bills, and build a future here in Warwick.
Safety
Warwick is one of the safest communities in the country, and I want to keep it that way. That means supporting our police officers, firefighters, and first responders, and making smart investments in public safety infrastructure. It also means ensuring that the places that make our community special, from Conimicut Point to Oakland Beach, remain safe for families to enjoy for generations to come.
Opportunity
Every child deserves access to a high-quality public education, with pathways to success through college or career and technical education. Veterans deserve meaningful economic opportunities after
their service. Opportunity shouldn't depend on who you know or where you were born.
